In his hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, prior to transitioning his focus full time to financial services, Mark used his U.S. undergraduate business degree and Masters of Business Administration degree to help grow the Lajambe Family natural resources businesses, providing him with a thorough understanding of the Canadian business/financial services sector.

In 2008, Mark has also qualified as one of the top 1% of financial advisors worldwide through the international MDRT organization.
Mark feels he is fortunate to be working in the field that he is in as well as for his success and because of this, is very dedicated to giving back. Marie, The Sault Ste. Marie Forestry Capital of Canada Committee, The United Way Community Endowment Fund (past chair), Algoma University Foundation (past Chair), and Algoma University Dinner Committee.
